Big-Bag unloading systems

We design and manufacture customized Big-Bag unloading systems.

Our Big-Bag systems are designed for the transfer of bulk substances from BIG-BAG containers, which are suspended from a frame using four loops.

The transfer process utilizes our shaftless screw conveyors or alternatively, a traditional screw conveyor or another type of transfer mechanism.

This station is specifically geared towards transferring dry bulk substances that do not create arching, with a particle size limit based on the capacity of the subsequent transfer equipment.

The BIG-BAG discharge station can accommodate various bag designs, including those with flat or tapered bases, equipped with a discharge spout, among others. It features a lifting frame that can be attached to either a forklift or a crane.

We also offer a range of optional components, such as air-powered lifters to aid in material discharge from the bags, diaphragm valves for bag sealing, adjustable suspension setups for bags of differing heights, and load cells with processing electronics for weight measurement.

Advantages of using our systems:

  • Boosting productivity: The operator is freed up to perform tasks that are more valuable than merely loading material into a conveyor’s hopper or similar machinery.
  • Enhanced safety for operators: The stations come with built-in safety mechanisms, eliminating the need for operators to use sharp instruments to open bags made of paper or plastic.
  • Work environment enhancement: The station is engineered to operate without releasing any dust.
  • Material cost savings: Using BIG-BAG bags for material transport is generally more economical compared to smaller packaging options, such as 25 kg bags.
  • Waste minimization: Opting for BIG-BAG bags over smaller single-use packaging for material transport, like 25 kg paper bags, leads to less waste.
  • Streamlined logistics for waste: The need for managing packaging waste is lessened.
  • Lowered costs for waste disposal: BIG-BAG bags are typically designed to be returned, which can reduce disposal expenses.
